Kouji Kumeta's politics are hard to figure out. (that's the first mistake, trying to fit in neat categories)
He gives off contrarian socdem vibes - I do appreciate the ruthless criticism of literally everything, even if sometimes it falls face-first onto a reactionary position.
SZS is definitely a very entertaining show and a fantastic adaptation. Though, as is Shaft's style, it's unfortunately quite horny.
