lmao that site became pathetic almost immediately. They all just regurgitate Nietzche and came up with dialectical materialism, but since they're STEM lords, none of them have actually read Nietzche or Marx. Then they fawn over one another for this "deep and insightful" posting. Nothing they say is new, but got damn if anyone were to point this out.

I've gotten howled at before for saying so, but I'll say it again: techbro cults like that are infested with self-described "autodidacts" which is a fancy way of saying "doesn't actually fucking know what they profess to know but will bumblefuck anyway, sometimes boosted by venture capital" my-hero

Yeah, it's fucked up, but even mocking the idea of "autodidacts" and all the harm the particularly rich ones cause is somehow upsetting to a certain bunch. It's like I become the gestalt manifestation of every wicked petty tyrant teacher that ever gave someone detention, my power only being potentially challenged by awesome radical rebels that say "actually I am an 'autodidact' and I already know everything" or something. Those rebels without a clue tend to have a belief that they can easily distinguish reality entirely for themselves without even an acknowledgement of the accumulated knowledge and expertise of everyone that came before. No wonder such smug-yet-credulous folks tend to fall for snake oil salesmen so easily. debord-tired
