I joined Socialist Rifle Association but I guess they have no one to vet people yet. They said they’re trying to find someone

I live in a rural area and I’m part of the DSA and IWW but I’m afraid of organizing because of all the reactionaries around here

i would contact your dsa chapter and see what kind of stuff is going on! theres lots of stuff usually you could help out with even if just from home. but they could also tell you more about organizing in rural areas and how to be safe and all, like thats the place you really really should make sure youre organizing with folks in

Yeah the thing is I get the feeling I could get a lot of people to agree with a lot of anarchist/socialist principles as long as I avoid actually using any words related to ideology. There’s a lot of disenfranchisement and poverty here if I could break the ideological mold these people are in they could be radicalized. That’s probably why trump won so many votes here is because they were tricked by the outsider and drain the swamp rhetoric.

well most of the time you wont really go up to people and ask them to be socialists haha, you can work through different community issues and specific campaigns that are going on in your community and get involved and get others to join through that. just look up your chapter to see whats actually going on in your area cause it can vary
