Sister has been telling my mom that apparently one of our aunts wants to pay her back for basically raising her and getting her through schooling back in mexico now that she's some sort of big shot manager in her field. My mom's conflicted because she didn't do it with the intent of getting anything since that's what family is for and like I get it. My mom always raised us by example so I can empathize with how she's feeling, the I'm gonna do this thing because someone needs help even if it sucks for me mentality. Don't know how much is codependancy at play since we all have trouble advocating for our needs tho.
