I had a hard time deciding between the red and the black, but they had just sold out of the black ones when I finally got my entrance ticket, so that made the decision easier 😂. I'll just have to wait in line again to get the black one.

I secretly kind of wanted the red one more, though, because it's the color Hamas wears.

I ordered one on Etsy around October and it never came. Let’s just say I have not called customer service to complain about never receiving it. I hope they’re ok but I’m pretty sure they’re not. 😞

Hirbawi is fantastic, I bought mine in the same pattern ages ago, and it comes with me on every desert camping trip I take (back when I wasn't too lazy to do that)

That was my main reason for buying it, just to help support the local economy

You might find that there's a Friends of Palestine branch (or similar) in your city. Often they have outlets selling kufiyah if you don't want to risk it on international shipping again.

Cool, looks like they are the Australian distributor for Hirbawi so that's a good sign. (Edit: you already mentioned this in your comment above. Whoops!)

Hopefully you'll get your kufiyah soon. Have you picked out what colour you want?

              Very cool!

Word to the wise: red on white represents the particular Palestinian liberation organisation that is on the Australian government's no-no list.

There isn't a precedent for it as of yet but the government is cracking down hard so if you intend on doing things in the grey area (or beyond that), I'd advise against doing so while wearing the red on white because if they really wanted to they could probably use their dragnet anti-terrorism legislation to throw the book at you (especially if you have posted anything under accounts tied to your legal name that could be considered evidence.)

After all there is no precedent until they turn someone into the precedent, so it's best to avoid unnecessary headaches imo.

That's the one. I must have gotten extremely lucky then because I was able to add one to my cart and make the purchase. I got an email confirmation that it shipped too so it's not just an error

Yes, you have to do the notify me route. They email when they will have new stock in, then you go to the site and get a ticket to wait in queue, after which point you get access to the site and buy the items you want.

Yeah I have several hirbawi kufiyas! They're very good and cozy. I like how they're kinda all season too. They protect your head from sun in summer and they're a good scarf in winter. They're also gorgeous!

Mine also arrived this week. Excited to wear it once cooler weather hits, it makes a great scarf.

I'm looking into the first part. As for the second, I believe it's down to personal preference on spelling.
