The working title and trailer imply that Pence is heavily involved, and that Sacha Barron Cohen shows up at some kind of Pence event. this would have been big news, and the fact that no one knew about this beforehand means someone somehow tried to cover it up.

Pence is a hateful, oafish dullard— the perfect target for a SBC prank. The movie releases a week before election day, and i think that’s intentional. Pence does something humiliating in the film and it is going to make him and maybe the dang cheetoh look like misogynistic impious assholes

and evangelicals will make excuses for it and it will not affect polling whatsoever

Thoughts?

Won't this mean it will be less effective than normal because people are voting by mail more this time? I was under the impression that a significant amount of people will have voted by then but I'd love to be wrong.

Trump is telling all his supporters to vote in person due to railing against mail in voting so would be Trump voters won't vote until election day. That being said, Trump support is basically a cult and Pence could shoot a baby in Borat 2 and Trump would lose 0 votes.

I mean the only reason Pence is there is to lock up the super evangelical vote that could potentially be turned off by all of Trump's unchristian behaviour if Pence wasn't there. Pence's entire existance in the Trump campaign is a dogwhistle to the Christian nationalists. You're average MAGA chud who's not super evangelical doesn't give a fuck about Pence so yeah.
