The gay beer on New Norm is probably a reference to Bud Light. They did a very brief campaign where a moderately popular trans woman on Instagram got to do a promotion. Chuds are still mad at Bud Light and it's been years
That Bud Light marketing with Dylan Mulvaney was actually last year, and chuds went berserk.
They then collectively boycotted the company (but muh cancel culture 
) which caused sales of Bud Light to tank. As a result, the company decided to roll over for these piss babies, and dropped the whole campaign. Now they've launched a new partnership with a UFC fighter who's a big transphobe. 
I got to drink these at a discount because of the desperate masculinity at my local bar.
