I wish that people understood what idealism is, instead of either thinking that it's a belief in magic or thinking that idealist schools of thought all posit that mental stuff has some sort of primacy over material stuff (when, for example, by the relevant definition, found in the works of various Marxist thinkers, various forms of religious idealism, including Christian idealist schools of thought, as well as Platonism - probably the most famous example of an ancient idealist school of thought - and its offshoots are somehow not idealist schools of thought).
