Was wondering what's going on there. Seems kind of important that there's a coup in one of the biggest European powers, but wdik
It's wild to watch the political systems in France, Germany, and the UK disintegrate in real time.
All while continuing to lecture the global south on democracy and freedom.
Needs two thirds approval.
There is a chance Le Pen sees this as useful to back to at least fuck Macron, between the left and the far right there would be enough.
Not really sure where Macron goes from here, I can't see any path for the liberals other than being squeezed out and losing support.
I think NR would absolutely vote to impeach him, and their support will only grow after this farce. The libs are basically dead as a political force in France at this point as far as I can tell.
Honestly would be amazing to see the death of a mainstream neoliberal party within western Europe, feels like a canary in the coal mines moment
For sure, there appears to be a lot of political instability all across Europe right now. In particular, Germany and UK both appear to be boiling over, so we'll be seeing more similar stuff happening there as well. I'd argue that France, UK, and Germany are really the three most important European countries, so whatever direction they go in the rest will follow.
