      My mom was so happy talking about who compnala's Republican cabinet member would be. so-true maybe it'll be Liz Cheney.

      I had to stop her and be like, that sucks. Why would you willingly cede power to your enemies? This betrays some of the worst political instincts.

      EDIT To be fair and balanced, half of Americans don't even vote. I doubt they love this shit. A large minority of voters, too, are part of the same "I'm not loving it" bloc. It's only the most vote-pilled ballot box brains that have this particular sickness.

      They're the most important voting bloc, though, so she's really speaking to her base.

      I'm American and it pains me.

      It was the top of the hour so I decided to see what MSNBC was up to and they ran with that soundbite. Of course - they focused on the word "cult". It's a fundamental given at that network that two strong parties are needed.
