He'd become more powerful, too. Doing something like this would create an army of loyalists who would vote for him if he ran for office or would defend his products. Bill Gates has completely laundered his reputation by not even ending illnesses, but simply providing some people with vaccines. I admit I was deeply demoralized by the weak covid response, the treatbrained reaction to the weak covid response, the lifting of the weak covid response, and now the "covid is over" treat maintaining mandate.
I know doomerism is a meme but it's also a serious state of mind when I have that little confidence of anything being done to preserve society or even the planet if it in any way restricts or slows down the treats.
