Yeah the American Godzilla movies always seem to miss the point of Godzilla.
The second US one by legendary pictures involved nukes saving the day, the only Japanese character agrees to sacrifice himself to said nuke, and environmentalists being the bad guys. If you know anything about Godzilla movies you know that this is all really fucking gross because Godzilla movies have always been an allegory for the horrors of nuclear weapons and pollution.
