Very silent hill inspired survival horror game made largely by one person. Visually its very well made, gameplay is about as clunky as I would expect and voice acting is a bit hit and miss but overall still refreshing to hear new voices. Music so far is pretty well made.

Enjoyable romp if you temper your expectations its not going to be super polished.

I don't think its on par with say signalis but at least its not so violently anti-communist

Hollowbody looks great. Really looks like my favorite type of sci-fi horror where it's futuristic but it's not super hi-tech. I also love the very PS2 look. I still think turbo hyper graphics don't really add much and having lower level graphics doesn't really take anything away.

Artistic direction will always be more striking than raw graphics tech. A lot of UE5 games for example look really bad even with super advanced graphical effects. I also think a generations aesthetic plays into the feel of certain types of game that doesn't transfer so easily to other generations

Crysis 1 2 and 3 was kind of a hybrid of actually genuinely brilliant artistic direction and cutting edge effects which is why all those games still look really good

It doesn't permeate into the story that much so its still enjoyable but yeah its basically gommunism bad because all the imagery is yoinked from east Germany and the games made by German libs.

Still worth playing though as it is a very very well made game. The "violently anti-communist" is hyperbole you have to go searching for it to notice tbh
