    This song is a cognitohazard. It popped up in my feed with like a billion views a day after it was posted. Masquerades as a song about solidarity then launches into an attack on obese people and welfare queens truly cursed stuff. Couldn't even bring myself to post it in the dunk tank.

    It's wild how easy it is for groups with large platforms to force something into virality like that. I legitimately have no idea what's real anymore. Obviously some people heard this and connected with it, but so, so, so many of the comments and shares are just astroturfing.

        So for slightly older stuff that's still missed, Buffy-Sainte Marie and Townes Van Zandt spring to mind. Newer stuff would include The Everybodyfields, Colter Wall, Adeem the Artist. There's also some great artists to find through No Depression and the youtube channel Country AF. I'm more of a folk/bluegrass guy, so I admittedly just dip into country from time to time.
