the US only imprisons people for actual violent crimes
This is probably the most insane part of that whole word vomit. The US very explicitly and unapologetically imprisons people for non-violent crimes constantly.
The US imprisons mote peoppe than anywhere else on the planet. And not per capita - just flat out more people thsn any other nation on earth.
