It was over in 2000 when seven unelected assholes chose the president across party lines.

#sad-but-true. Sometimes I think of how different things would be if we had 8 years of Gore instead of dubya…no forever wars, true leaders fighting to mitigate climate change. American hegemony likely still intact.

Sigh…alas, repugnantcons just have to cheat and ruin everything.

"True leaders" is a bit of a stretch - remember it was a Democrat that turned the US into a net oil exporter. Thanks, Obama!

It could also be that the rule of law is not over.

Perhaps trump wins because the Dems dragged their feet prosecuting in order to time things politically, so the trials don’t conclude before the election.

To top it off Dems refuse to hold primaries in order to foist upon the voters an uninspiring geriatric candidate with a proven track record of ensuring that “nothing will fundamentally change,” because if there’s one thing that can guarantee low voter turnout, it’s more of the same neoliberal shit for 4 more years.

I thought Adolf Hitler would be the worst option as president for Germany. I was wrong - Paul von Hindenburg would be catastrophic. funny-clown-hammer
