      Not sure how it is in LA but backin the day a nyc union grip would have a pretty aggressive shift differential multiplier if they kept you on set more than 12 hours. It was like after 12AM you got 2.5x rate and it increased .5x every hour up to 5x. Commercial shoots were always poorly time budgeted and I could work 3 days a week most weeks. I hated that job. My tools were stolen constantly and it was hard to sleep like a normal person.

        I'm east coast, and I've only done small time shit that's gone over 12 hours a small handful of times, so I can't give the specifics, but there's definitely a significant increase on union wages past 12 hours, and god help you if you have to push meals

          You can see some pretty absurd shit at 4am on a craft services table. I once saw 10000+ Big Mac Boxes stacked in a pyramid lol. The entertainment and events industry is for space aliens and lizard people.
