I think the SC is fine being the "good guys" to mantain their legitimacy in the face of Trump tbh. Same reason they had that "good" ruling that was slightly unexpected a couple months back. They have an interest in preserving the appearance of democracy, and we all know that Biden is pretty damn conservative himself. Even with the conservative seats, they'd love to all of a side become the "good guys" for a decade or two while they go right back to fucking over the American people with every other decision they make.
