I'm still hoping for a revival where the villains kill Captain Planet in episode 1, and the Planeteers have to establish an international ecoterrorist insurgency.
You jest but this is legit something me and a couple friends discussed one time, Captain Planet needs a reboot.
But I'd spare captain planet and make him comically edgy. The seven year old boy in me just wants to see cool anime fights, but now they're educational!
Imagine that "Planetia" character presented on Rick & Morty, except with Justin Roiland's usual preoccupation with removed and the enlightened centrist "caring too much about things is stupid and bad actually" presentation also removed, where "Planetia" goes after instead of random industrial workers.
I watched that episode again recently and it’s so stupid how it goes from “burning a congressman’s house” to “killing a bunch of miners by tossing them down a shaft”
