It's a settler-colonial project, which means it requires an endless supply of bodies to throw into the project of subjugating and colonizing "the frontier." The more they can create and feed the perception of ubiquitous antisemitism everywhere in the world--for instance, by insisting that college students protesting the settler-colonial genocide are actually calling for the destruction of Jews--the easier it is to sell the idea that they are the only "safe haven," and thus the more bodies they get to throw into the machine.
