oh i see, musk just wants to create a servile class that lives in the pods and interacts with the whole world through vr, working during the day and then confined to virtual reality for their entertainment, controlling the robots that elon and his friends can turn off at a whim to protect themselves.

they think that will be enough, that they're smarter than their servants, but they'll simply be creating the conditions for actual cyber lenin.

cyber-lenin the smug bastard probably thinks this prevents the need to worry about a robot uprising and he's only ensuring a proletarian mechanical turk uprising

Well... I guess the white guy from South Africa has found a way to exploit the non-whites in ways that won't visually upset his fellow whites...

Even without the fact that it's still literally just a guy, top image is giving me strong (spoiler:history of the Kaylon in The Orville) Kaylon vibes.

            massive Orville spoilers

I absolutely loved the political realignment at the end of season 3 that put the gay terfs and the space kkkristians together as villains against the alliance of The Union (of Space Socialist Republics) and Robot Haiti, the obvious good guys.

Absolutely. The fact the the goddamn Family Guy guy made the best live action Trek of the modern era is downright mind boggling.

There was a movie about this a while back. It was a pretty good sci-fi film. I think it was spanish language. He said in an interview that people somehow thought the telebracero thing from his movie was real and kept trying to talk to him about doing it for real. He could have been exaggerating, he was promoting a film, but I think that probably happened. If so that means there have been people thinking about this for a while

Does it at least give them the ability to crush a human skull in their metal fists?

I'd imagine a fieldworker would prefer this to stooping for cucumbers but that isn't how it's gonna get used, huh?

That shit was hilarious to watch. There’s probably going to be a number of suckers willing to pay thousands for an overpriced children’s toy.
