They are pretty good but they have a lot of lib zionists who think all the problems with their settler state would be solved if bibi weren't in power

lib zionists are not against the iof or the occupation generally. oh sure they'll say they are against the new settlements but once a settlement has stuck around for a few decades magically it is transmuted into acceptable israeli lebensraum.

More like few seconds judging from what i heard "you want to resettle the Jews, that's ethnic leansing, don't be like them" i swear libs can't make even a mild critique of zionist colonialism and when they try they always step into antisemitism somehow.

Their disgusting statement on oct 7th really was just enough for me. Manufacturing consent for genocide is horrendous and claiming IDF soldiers raving outside a concentration camp are victims is a red line. Principled ppl involved in local chapters (which there are many) should leave this horrible national org.

You know that phrase actions speak louder than words. Whatever they’ve said, they out there, doing protesting. Now, would be nicer if they’ve malcolm-checks pal action stuff? Sure, but they are still protesting, that’s more than 99 percent americans shrug-outta-hecks

I've honestly had great interactions with the local chapters, I just think the national org is a bottleneck that's actively doing manufactured consent for genocide. They aren't a monolith and I'm sure many who organized this are much more advanced than their national org. I think this is the case in a lot of organizations though but especially these liberal zionist ones that would benefit greatly from having their advanced members agitating publically within their orgs when they participate in this genocide denial lest they be complicit, I mean the whole point is fighting these narratives right?

Also just kinda points out the whole sillyness with having a jewish focused org leading action on this. IDK if GermanVoiceforPeace bothsidesing the warsaw ghetto uprising would hit the same

I know, I didn't say NaziVoiceforPeace. The national org however puts "Jewish safety" in the same place as Palestinian genocide and conflates the former with the Israeli identity, necessarily providing justification for the latter.

Another example, a WhiteVoiceforPeace bothsiding an execution done by a cop because the cop ended up getting killed himself would show the clear infantile and offensive nature of having white leadership in a struggle like this even if the org was made up of more advanced members doing more advanced actions. Palestinians are the vanguard here and Jewish people should organize to show they aren't complicit in genocide but focusing on "Jewish safety" in this moment is giving complicity to genocide and is VERY much an "All Lives Matter" moment

JVP is explicitly anti-Zionist. What are you even talking about?

If they do not side with the resistance, they are zionists. "The white man's peace" is not an ideal to shoot for. Mourning the criminals killed (mostly by Israel but blaming hamas) on oct 7th and calling for the return of hostages is NOT anti-zionist in the slightest and is manufacturing consent for genocide in the name of "wiping out hamas", the only people fighting for this nightmare to end.

You don't think the hostages should be returned when all Palestinian hostages are returned and the genocide is ended? If you read that entire statement and your takeaway was “anti-resistance liberal Zionism” on the same day they shut down the New York stock exchange you either need to take a deep breath or you are just in here to be a wrecker.

This shit is really just inexcusable man the org has such a history of this. Again local chapters can be good but the national leadership fails the national question consistently and doesn't say shit about hezbollah, iran, or hamas the true vanguards of this movement. Palestinians have said time and time again they are systemically racist in the JVP and the founder is an "Israeli" with ties to Israeli intellegence that's goal seems to be to meet jews where they're at, which is including doing genocide propaganda revisionist history about the "1200 killed by hamas", the entire mythological basis for this genocide and really ugly

Not as big an org as JVP I'm sure, but I've joined in several IfNotNow actions (another Jews against Zionism group) and in my experience the members in my local chapter are definitely not both sides-ing it.
