Some lib shit, but surprisingly good take for being published in the Guardian.

Over 220 UNRWA workers killed the highest in UN history. At this point what else do you say

They did, they're calling it BRICS but this time they're starting from the opposite end in regards to membership. I have more hope for this one.

(I'm being a smart aleck; I know BRICS isn't akin to the UN)

Far from unrealistic imo, that might happen at some point in the century

This happened to South Africa before it was ended too.

The way Israel has behaved in the last year, they've cemented that they can never become like South Africa; even if a ceasefire is declared and apartheid ended, how do you tell people who've just survived a horrific genocide to just go on and live with the people who were just cheering for them and their children to be turned into unrecognizable gore?

Even if white South Africans had felt the same way about black South Africans that Israelis do about Palestinians, they hadn't yet crossed the threshold into literal holocaust; the plausible deniability that the white South Africans would never have done so makes it easy for bygones to be bygones; Israel has crossed that threshold and the illusion that they never would have conducted a genocide no longer exists.

A one state solution even on October 6th, despite the atrocities of the preceding decades, would have been easy to do and would have been welcomed by the Palestinian people, now that's literally impossible, and Israel will never accept a true two state solution that would allow a Palestinian state to legally have its own army and be able to arm themselves into becoming a formidable force.

Saying all this, it makes me realize how awesome the DPRK is because I do truly believe that if America genuinely approached North Korea with the intent of peaceful coexistence and to put the past behind, I do believe the DPRK would embrace it (of course this requires evidence that it's not being done in bad faith; they would be dealing with the US government); the DPRK, Venezuela, Cuba and even Iran to be honest.

        You should rephrase this comment

Thanks, I re-read that sentence multiple times and kept getting the feeling I really need to rephrase it even if I didn't intend it the way it was written. I should've rephrased it the moment I re-read it.

I don't think this is true. I think the majority of the actually evil people in Israel are either going to die fighting in the war as it escalates or run back to the US and Europe out of fear.

What I think will remain will be a populace that just wants to live.

The remainder that do not die fighting or run will be imprisoned for crimes against humanity and tried for the genocide they've committed. Most that know this will run.

How is the United States or the UK not a rouge state and still a member of UN?

Pisssrael can not do it's shit without the United States and their exceptions and flaunting of law.

that never should have been ceded UN recognition

Just a slight addendum: never should have been ceded UN recognition without the Palestinians getting to weigh in

Insane that the UN just got to unilaterally give away land that had people living on it.

The UN was built to rinse the blood from the hands of imperialism, not to stop it.
