The lengths people will go to in order to defend being a dickhead to marginalized groups rather than just simply not being a dickhead is astonishing sometimes
It's like a reverse marshmallow test, you can accept your mistake and apologize immediately, which feels bad for a second, or you can dig in your heels in an attempt to avoid that second and feel bad indefinitely instead.
It’s absurd! A simple apology does a lot more than a chud-esque explanation and revision of events. If you have already offended people, explaining why you offended them is not going to fix it. Just apologize and sit the fuck down!
