Yeah some of the ads I see (and block the accounts of) on twitter are pretty puzzling. Like the average person wouldn’t be interested in it and probably couldn’t use it if they could. Ads for a tattoo parlor, a nail salon? That makes sense. Hell, even toilet paper (the idea that TP ‘needs’ iNnOvAtIoN or advertising at all is a totally separate discussion) makes sense. But you so often see ads for shit like some new financial instrument aimed at executives, and it’s like: dude, if they have that much money they probably have someone managing their shit already. Who is that ad for???
every time I see a "powered by aws" ad, it reminds me that I need to stop by the grocery store and pick up some aws on the way home
