Can't say anything for baldurs gate yet but i played planescape torment which is part of it and it plays fine. Lack of mouse cursor for that game doesn't seem to be an issue.

I imagine its the same cos its all part of the same bundle done by the same people with relatively similar mechanics.

The game runs well enough on switch, but I'd argue that it's more comfortable with mouse and keyboard.
