Trump helped set the stage for the invasion in all the ways you describe (leaving treaties which enabled Russia to ramp up - at least threats if not actual working nuclear weapons), calling for a NATO exit, withholding aid from Ukraine. The Russian sphere of influence has been shrinking for 30 years with next to no pushback until Crimea, they can barely occupy their direct neighbors, they took a decade to beat down the insurgency in fucking Chechnya and you're assuming they'd march on Berlin if we wouldn't gift cluster bombs to neonazis? Even during the Cold War, when the Red Army was at the peak of its power, such widespread invasion scenarios by default included strategic nuclear bombing of half of Western Europe.
