*Drej for "Low energy demon. SAD!"
Funny how demons only seem to attack these hateful fundamentalist Christians. If I didn't know better, I think that these demons are actually the good guys trying to get rid of shitty people.
Christian Fascists belief that the devil is an evil god equal to god is one of the core things that punts them from weirdos in to separate religion territory.
Jesus pretty much says "yeah if you have demon problems just name drop me and they'll fuck off."
Like "in the name of jesus fuck off" canonically is enough to get rid of demons, full stop.
Canonically, christians have a whole bunch of magic powers specifically for the purpose of proving they're true christians, including the ability to drink drano without being harmed.
What's your take on the Catholic over-institutionalization of exorcism, where the goalposts have moved quite a lot in terms of what is really considered a possession so now it's a very bureaucratic process?
I think it's goofy bullshit. idk how the Catholics even justify it. But they're telling people "It's not demons your kid has seizures go to the doctor" now so that's an improvement at least.
One shot at life
No succubus GF who becomes unironically attached to you.
It's not fair.
Uncritical support for our demonic comrades.
EDIT: I had a random related thought, does a Communism Devil exist in the Chainsaw Man universe? Would be cool if so.
That'd be sick if the specter of communism becomes an ally
Maybe not, the USSR still exists and the US isnt shitting itself about it so maybe things are cool there and communism isn't scary.
Just going off what the metaphysics that undergirds a lot of 'demonic' shit tends to be like- physical presence requires some doing! what a lucky guy! so anyway demons don't just show up in your life, again per the lit, don't read this as my actual belief, but they don't just show up. In some stuff we all have a link to them within us, but in general if you wanna talk to p'ig pou'balzt to work on something, that's never circumstantial - that has to be sought out.
what i'm saying is it's funny to imagine Tucker summoning something out of a medieval grimoire and getting absolutely wrecked by it, but then omitting his causal agency to rile up his christian audience
Huh, maybe the incantations and summoning rituals the Tumblr witches did worked.
