So I got a campaign text to go to swapyouryvote.org which is a "sister site" of https://www.swapmyvote.uk/ - Labour damage control.

Obviously pro Harris / Democrat party aligned. Healthy dose of blaming Nader and the Green party for Bush. So tired of that lame excuse.

Lol ok so everyone pledge to vote Harris here so a ton more people vote Green/PSL, then we vote PSL anyway? Sounds great.

I fucking proposed a uneven vote swap ages ago. These briefcase nerds are copying me.

Except I though it would be funny to get dozens of people to vote swap with your one swing vote.

I said I would but I'm still voting Green (since PSL is banned in my state 🥴)

And the system in solid blue states.

People can join this in solid red states as well, if I can be pedantic for a hot second.

If anything it's technically better from a pro-Dem perspective to do it in red states. If enough Dems protest vote in a lib state it actually flips red, in a red state Trump just wins by more.

Join 2,321 (and counting) voters across the country to protest the system AND defeat Trump.

lmao they have basically no one. I bet that’s counting both sides of the swap too. So they’ve gotten a whole 773 (promised) swing state votes for Harris.

I’d sign up (I’ve already voted Green in NC lel) but I don’t really want more text spam and I’ve thankfully avoided email spam, and they’re asking for both.

Anyway, why would anyone in a safe state willing to do this not vote just third party anyway? They’d have to agree that Harris is committing a genocide and they’re in a safe state. “I’ll only vote against what we agree is a genocide if you vote for the genocide”.

lmao all the”voter stories” are from safe state Harris supporters. I hope they’ve all been rused.

So there's no way they could guarantee a lib voted for PSL, right? I'm sure that person would just lie and vote Kamala.

And all the libs are skeptical of this for the opposite reason, I saw it on FB and all the comments were about how this was just Republicans in swing states trying to flip California think-mark

Ya libs are super wary of this. I saw on my alt that someone posted this on til on lemmy.world, clearly trying to help out Harris, and just got downvoted into the negatives almost immediately, and now I can't even find the post so it looks like it got deleted, too.

Idk, it actually seems like a good idea to me if they don't think they can get Harris to switch on the genocide - from an electoral strategy point of view. I don't think the small number of people here are going to flip California even if they don't vote Harris in the swing state, but whatever, people would just rather bully these voters instead I suppose, or make up for the votes elsewhere, than legitimize their complaints.
