Not surprised about this news, especially with Requiem of Vengeance being so mid.

G-Saviour is kinda amazing, tho. Highly recommend it for anyone that likes Gundam and 90s science fiction TV shows

I still need to get around to Robot Jox and Gunhed. For some reason, I never fit in too many live action mecha movies lol

That plot twist at the end of Robot Jox was actually quite cool.

It's my favourite example of how "B-movie" doesn't automatically mean "bad movie". Robot Jox is certainly a B-movie, but it's a damn good one.

Mecha battling mecha is like the perfect slop for me.

I loved Pacific Rim, but I would have loved it more if it was somehow Jaeger vs Jaeger sicko-wistful

As much as I love the UC and the One Year War I hope Tomino does an original screenplay. I'd hate to see the movie just be another rehash of Amuro vs. Char.

      Tomino does an original screenplay

I'd expect it to be Yasuhiko if anyone from the original staff puts their hands on it, to be honest. Tomino's been trying to make Gundam (thematically) but not Gundam (the franchise) for his entire career now - I would be shocked if they managed to get him involved in this.

another rehash of Amuro vs. Char

But what if it was even more explicitly gay? What if it's an alternate end thing like the Zeta New Translation movies and they ride off into the sunset together?
