How much do Finns know about what it's like to have Yankee troops stationed next door? Does Finnish media ever tell about how Yankee troops are going to be immune to Finnish laws and untouchable by Finnish courts? Do they tell of the pollution, drug trafficking and SA generated by Yankee bases?

There has been some ever so minor critique and reporting on this on mostly left adjacent news. The stuff I've seen from national news was mostly prior to the nato-push, like reporting on the problems in Norway.

The DCA was signed basically without any real discussion. What is happening now very quickly is literally what the Whites have been pushing for for over a century.

The Swedes who ruled us will be in charge of the nato troops. It's incredible to witness how this country is being stripped of the little sovereingity it had and how truly clueless the average person is to this. Everyone is just slava ukraining all day long. The way all of our leftist history is just gone is astounding.

Also could really call into question a survey done by the national Kulak newspaper. The paper is read by mostly right wing people.

Surveys in Finland as a whole are answered most by boomers and older people these days. And people with privilege/wealth. Gen Z does not answer these much. This is stated in national survey datasets, none are representative.

These "this is what the country thinks" propaganda pieces that also got us into nato are all just manufacturing consent.

I'm having a hard time comprehending the meaning of that phrase. Support has remained at North Korean levels in a positive sense... this does not compute for me.

This is likely a nod to the homogenous (a myth) nature of opinions in Finland.

Because in evil communism everyone supports war mongering because they are forced to, but it is a positive when this sameness happens in a wholesome western democracy. /s
