Hi everyone,

We've got a lot of the vegan 101 content figured out for the sidebar, but I'd like to add more lefty sources beyond the basics. In particular, we're looking to add links to:

  • leftist animal rights/veg-related theory
  • good overviews of labor & class-related issues in animal-related industries
  • tips for organizing & forms of direct action for animal rights

For rules, I don't think we need all that many, but if the community feels differently, then I'm open to discussion. At the very least, it might be beneficial to get a consensus on what should/should not include content warnings (for images or links containing blood, dead bodies, etc).

What do you all think?

And just so we're all 100% clear: vegan btw. right here, making this post. me. i'm vegan.

why do you have to remind me that you aren't normal? it's your fault I'm mad for reasons I don't understand. you're moralizing at me by letting me know you exist.

There's the Citations Needed ep on animal rights. TBh it's not their strongest ep (and i say that as them being my #1 pod) BUT idk maybe bc it's coming from two non-vegans, people might actually fucking listen? eh.

I have one of the interviewees book - Aphro-ism - which has essays that looks EXTREMELY dope, but i haven't actually read it yet :sadness:

      Adding now - thank you!

edit: if you read Aphro-ism and it's any good, please share a post about it. I think I may have a few links to talks from one of their guests saved somewhere... will see if I can find those and add them too.
