To be fair, Beatnik approached me about setting up /c/vegan in early September, but it got delayed due to site growing pains and other things going on. (It seems to me he's almost sold on going vegan himself, we just have to bully him some more). I would definitely agree that the struggle session and subsequent calls for /c/vegan probably made him want to come back to the idea sooner than later.
