Hello comrades and welcome to the second improvement megathread of November! bonfire I hope your month has started well.

As usual, some discussion ideas:

  • Do you want to share something you've done in the previous week? Everything counts, nothing is too small.
  • Do you have any goals or plans for next week?
  • Do you have any streaks? For example, "sober for one day." Feel free to post your streak every day in this thread.
  • If you don't have a continuous streak, did you manage to abstain from something for a day or more?
  • Did you come across some useful information or resource that might help others?

The main things are trying to get away from my pot habit and get active/ in shape again. Really, any kind of discipline that I can manage feels like it would be an improvement.

        My super unsolicited advice:

        • Install a step counting app on your phone and aim to get 6000 steps per day
        • Get an adjustable standing desk if possible. My standing desk is one of the best purchases of my life (apart from my gamer PC and guitar/drums)
        • Do small microexercises throughout the day. I sometimes do 50 jumping jacks or 1 pull-up or 2 incline push-ups or 10 squats multiple times in the day. If you track them like I do, you'll see that it quickly adds up. What seems like a small amount at first builds up by the end of the week and now you're doing 300% more exercise than before.
