i've seen some of todd's other work and i always felt like there was an extra level of emotional intensity in "the visitor" that i didn't get from kurn and now; 20 years later; i learned that i was right.
i'm glad you shared. when i watch trek i pick a theme or topic that touches upon the entirety of the trek universe and then watch episodes that touch on it. i just finished an episode list that had excelsior class ships starting w movie #3 "the search for spock" and ending in the picard episode "the star gazer" and now i'm going to do the same thing for tony todd.
he only did kurn from tng & ds9 and alpha hirogen in voyager; so it doesn't have the same breadth over all the series like the other themes i've selected; but it feels appropriate rn somehow and it'll be much shorter than my other themed watch lists.
