Unfortunately I don't have the energy to put together some info for the mega this week, hopefully I can pull together something for next week though. As always, we ask that in order to participate in the weekly megathread, one self-identifies as some form of disabled, which is broadly defined in the community sidebar:
"Disability" is an umbrella term which encompasses physical disabilities, emotional/psychiatric disabilities, neurodivergence, intellectual/developmental disabilities, sensory disabilities, invisible disabilities, and more. You do not have to have an official diagnosis to consider yourself disabled.
Mask up, love one another, and stay alive for one more week.
I suppose I wouldn't know if they did any looking into it, since they seemingly took my word for it on the phone. But it's possible that they did some investigating and then nothing I said was out of line, which is why they were okay to move on pretty quickly from that line of questioning. With how overworked the average case worker seems to be, I kinda doubt they did any serious looking into it, unless the DWP has access to mass surveillance tools, which... is possible I suppose? My impression is that they took my word for it though.
