I'm sorry, I'm sure everyone and their mom already complained about how stupid melon-musk's rebrand was weeks ago but every time I see "repost" in a twitter screenshot it keeps making me go owl-pissed

Reposting already means something quite different and distinct from the concept of retweeting in internet lingo and it has negative connotations. Being told your content got reposted conjures up images of some asshole cropping out your watermark from an image or video and posting it as their own. Alternatively you think of someone posting a tired meme for the 9000th time

yea he can try as much as he wants to rebrand retweets but its not going to work.

like even in html data-testid is mentioned as "retweet" indicating the twitter devs still call it retweet

    ` div aria-expanded="false" aria-haspopup="menu" aria-label="Repost" role="button" tabindex="0" class="css-18t94o4 css-1dbjc4n r-1777fci r-bt1l66 r-1ny4l3l r-bztko3 r-lrvibr" data-testid="retweet"

    div role="menuitem" tabindex="0" class="css-1dbjc4n r-1loqt21 r-18u37iz r-1ny4l3l r-ymttw5 r-1f1sjgu r-o7ynqc r-6416eg r-13qz1uu" data-testid="retweetConfirm"

    `

The scene where the containment unit is shut down in Ghostbusters but it's Elon hovering over the shoulder of some poor programmer

I respectfully disagree. I like how generic it is. I don't care about brand identity.

But question is "reblog" trademarked by Tumblr? Because I like it more
