My brain melted when I saw he had a an article published in a newspaper in Britain, and it started pouring out of my ears when I realised he was a regular columnist. He had an actual column in an actual newspaper and it wasn't about cars and farts, but politics.
Top Gear becomes less fun when you realize Clarkson means what he says - the ignorant caricature of a right winger that he plays is not too dissimilar from his actual views.
