i've been thinking a lot of the 2nd Trump admin's tactics will be to do something egregiously stupid like nominate Matt Gaetz, then do something the libs can tolerate that's actually worse
Also supposedly a lot of Republicans just don't like him on a personal level. Probably not enough to go against Trump, but enough that they could actually ask him questions during a confirmation hearing, which I don't think he wants. Also he has so many fucking skeletons in his closet that I think withdrawing is just easier.
this is a less funny and more harmful choice than gaetz, she's done way more real damage than Gaetz and will be relatively inoffensive to libs

Gaetz bowed out himself, I assume because he thought his ethics investigation would be released if he went to the congressional hearings.
