    Yes... my mom doesnt really stick up for me until on occasions she does. The stuff he says to me makes me want to rope sometimes

      I'm just assuming this is her boyfriend/husband? It might be best for you if you stop visiting or maybe only seeing your mom outside of the house and make it clear it's because of how he makes you feel. I've had almost no contact with my mom who is also a surly alcoholic in almost a decade and it's great. I recommend everyone drop shitty family members.
