you can easily pack everything in one day if you minimize the number of things you own
Ngl a good chunk of it has been deep cleaning hoping to get my security deposit back
My neighbor and colleague hired a cleaning service recommended by the apartment manager and they still ate his deposit.
Unless you have a close relationship with your landlord you will get fucked.
i mean that's your mistake, then, landlords never give your security deposit back
Moving is the worst shit hell in existence. Humans weren't meant to move, I wanna live in the same cozy hovel my grandsire died in.
It's been almost a decade since the last time I moved, and I still have nightmares about it sometimes.
Frfr
We lost magic when all our ancestors weren't in one spot.
I will one-up you. Don't pack your coffee paraphernalia with a shitload of packing left to do and then switch to energy drinks, plural, on the last day. My fingers were cramping up so bad that I almost went to urgent care. That was my Friday. Now my stuff is in storage and I'm in the second temporary city of my nomadic life.
I'm jealous of your nomadic life, I'm moving to a town of 2000ish for 3 months and there's been reports of lead in the water
My strategy is always: find motivation well in advance, pack a bunch of boxes of books, lose motivation, panic throw shit in to boxes just days prior to the truck rental
Works every time
Looks at the only thing I've packed for moving and it's all my books. Are you me?
When I move in I spend like 3hrs arranging my books until they're perfect while everything else sits in boxes behind me lol
I took a picture of the book shelves before packing for emergency reference and then I numbered the boxes 1-16 and packed them mostly by order rather than size or shape. So I can just open each box numerically and put them on the shelf where I had them. My partner thinks I'm crazy but I have done this for their books too.
Right there with ya chief. Procrastination biting me in the ass cause ive got to sell my furniture in next 4 days... probably not going to get much money from it even though its in good condition
I'm really not looking forward to moving... we have a really big tv i don't wanna fuck up, and there's this like table thing that weighs like so fucking much and I don't wanna move it ughhhhhh it's so heavy, fuck
everything else I can mostly handle but I really wish I knew some like 300Ib+ strong dudes to move that table thing
