I was very disapointed in that scene. "Dream bigger" and all you come up with is a grenade launcher? No magic wand? No plasma gun? No giant boot descending from the heavens?
It was a very austere vision of what it is to dream.
something about how anything too unrealistic will alert the target's subconscious to being inside of a dream
idk inception doesn't really make sense and is basically just the matrix but straight
Oh, is this Inception? I was vaguely excited to find out what it is and watch it, because I (for some reason, it certainly isn't because he's a good actor) enjoy Joseph Gordon-Levitt in things, and, well, of course you gotta love Tom Hardy. But I've already seen Inception (before I knew who these two people were, clearly), and, like, meh, it's really not that good. "Matrix but straight" might honestly be overselling it. Damn. Here I was hoping for schlocky action with actors I like that I'd somehow missed out on and instead it's takes-itself-too-seriously action with actors I like but I've already seen it and it's not that good. Shucks.
Nolan’s rule: the blandest possible interpretation of fantastical ideas will one net you genre money without locking you out of an Oscar one day.
Well they did say a little bigger. Emphasis on little I suppose
Why do some memes make no sense to me? Is this referencing a movie or something?
Look into the Year of Four Emperors, one of the episodes in the fall of Rome
The Year Of Four Presidents is a rif on that. All it takes is Biden to die/step down/be removed from office, Kamala gets sworn in before Trump's inauguration, Trump dies after his inauguration, and Vance brings us to president four in less than a year. Of course this has the downside of leaving us with president Vance which has lead people to not stop at 4 Presidents. The Year of No Presidents presumably being after the dissolution of the United $$tate$$ of Amerikkka

I'm not picky.
