He also has a great video slapping down the anti-woke pop culture grifting crowd. Seems like his old content were some shitty animations about atheism (makes sense that a dude that looks like kratos hates the gods I guess), but now he’s telling young dudes not to be pieces of shit. Good on him.
Just listened and imo this is some extremely effective anti-military propaganda, which I feel like many on the left don’t see the full importance of. Imagine being able to target the largest military in the world and take their soldiers (or potential soldiers) off the battlefield without any sort adventurism or even leaving your house. Seems like a pretty great thing in that context, right? Well this is basically what you’re doing when you successfully convince a teenager to avoid the military, or when you help a current soldier get themselves booted out. This is why I think countering military recruitment should be a higher priority than it typically is.
I don't think this is just anti-military either, this is anti far-right and anti-incel.
I have not listened to the whole thing but the guy is promoting good healthy self-security, defeating insecurity, becoming a more full person. It feels somewhat close to a sort of Sartre thing.
Anyway at 7:48 his first point is what hexbear says about social media and his economic point is loosely marxist so yeah this dude is good.
Yeah I agree it covers those bases too, which of course there’s overlap between all of those things.
Oh shit I completely forgot about this guy. He used to be one of the biggest channels in nu-atheism sphere. Glad to see his politics improved
"Actually scratch that, we're now evangelical Christians now! All the church needed to say is that as a heterosexual white man no restrictions actually apply to me and now I'm sold! After all, this is a sweet deal for me, no conflict of interest here!"
Darkmatter is the goat, he's part of the old guard from the late 2000s like TJ Kirk but it's good to see that he didn't sell out.
