I blame Genshin Impact for the phenomena.Kids these days learning about Gnosticism from Genshin Impact, the Millennials gained their Gnosis playing the Persona games.
I'll have you know I received both gnosticism and sudden gender anxiety from the Matrix films
I first heard it from a highly underrated fantasy series called The Prince of Nothing where gnostic sorcerers are like walking weapons of mass destruction that level cities with geometric math magic. Those books were so metal.
Idk if Philip Pullman is cancelled for being a lib and sort of defending a much worse (transphobic) writer, but I think a few of us first ran into it in a semiserious way reading him
His killing god content at least was very based
