For what its worth, my dad was a huge MOPAR guy. Like, big time Detroit loyalist. His whole life and career had been spent restoring muscle cars. His shop had a metal poster on the wall that said something like "screw JDM, buy domestic" but much much more racist. He used ricer all the time, and absolutely as a pejorative, as the word was intended. Doesn't really matter how "sanitized" it has since become.
TLDR; The only context I have for the term "ricer" is my extremely racist father, and that's enough for me to know the word should be retired.
