But to try to drag the Bolsheviks or socialism at large because the Romanov children got killed while ignoring everything the white terror did, or the decades and centuries of oppression, pogroms, legions of peasants dying so lines on a map could shift around... it's an incomplete moral outrage at best. At worst it's as you say, people being upset because the main characters got killed.
