My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of American "healthcare" in these trying times.

Even my ultra conservative brainwormed uncle joked that he was deeply saddened Mr. Thompson was shot and killed before he could get around to doing it

Literally nobody outside of some mindmelted “journalist” losers care, and I’m pretty sure that 90% of them are only pretending to for the grift anyway.

yeah but I'm gonna be honest I feel that's a minority and mainly those that likely benefit from the current social order, most folks are either ambivalent to this or outright celebrating it. Makes me think of what the many upper crust servants of the aristocracy in France felt during the start of the revolution, i.e. panic at the disruption to their lives.

Honestly, I've always had a hard time understanding people like that. Wasn't that CEO everything their ideology admires?

ver since the GFC, the average American's level of sympathy for the rich and elite has been degraded significantly. That's in fact kind of Trump's whole role in preserving bourgeois rule. Redirecting the anger of as many Americans as possible towards reactionary ends.

Everyone in the US, hog or not, has been effected soul melting way by the private healthcare system. It's something that cuts through put upon culture war ideology. The only people who sorta feel otherwise are young idiots too far away from the future ahead of them, or rich people.

I think that when you reach a certain stage of conservatism your brain just becomes an incoherent mush

They made the reaction totals private today. I didn’t even know that feature existed.
