The good old times on reddit was just the libs taking an easy pot shot against some random CIA ghoul from the Bush era. It only failed so spectacularly because this shit was readily available with simple google searches IIRC. The negative reaction is because it makes them look bad not because they actually doubt(ed) the Uyghur narrative imo.
