Oh one hand, I understand the impulse. Maintaining an open source community can easily be a full time job if not several full time jobs if you let it. And it being open source opens the flood gates for heavy stress testing even moreso than just having a live website does. But on the other hand, it raises concerns about security through obscurity, privacy, and licensing.
That said, if they do open source it, I’ll be hosting an instance ASAP for my kids and their friends
I hope the project is a success, but I am a bit worried about the developer being like "It is not open source yet, but it will be!"
