Good time to plug something like addy.io or SimpleLogin (especially if you already use a paid Protonmail account). They let you create dummy emails that forward to your real email so your real email is never exposed to any site, you can have a different email for every site or different categories that you can save in a password manager, and can narrow down which sites leaked your stuff and change just that one or shut the account down entirely. I never use my real name, birthdate, or email on any site that isn't something like a bank.

Nah, you're probably fine, I just posted the two I was most familiar with. Just comes down to how much you trust the service provider you're paying. I use addy.io myself. Most important thing is turning on any optional encryption features they might have and masking your email in the first place.
You can also use the free tier of Proton Pass to get 10 free email aliases if you aren't on the paid tier for Proton Mail.
I'm not familiar with Bluesky, does it just show your email to every rando on the site?

Is there any indication whether Bluesky records all profile changes? I know changes to your handle are tracked (as shown in Clearsky).
this is so important and thank you for boosting it and making sure people can see it. I don't care if it's an overreaction, there's no such thing as overreaction with what's at stake. my crew is full of vulnerable people and my child is trans, I can't risk exposing any of them. ugh. that site used to be such a joy to me.
